One Day One Roll | June 2020

This blog is part of a monthly blog circle with other film friends! Go HERE to see the amazing Peter Stout’s roll of the month. Then follow the circle to see even more!

This month, I decided to try shooting through objects, and although I meant to spread it though the whole day and find all sorts of things to shoot through, I ended up shooting it ALL at the pool! It’s crazy enough that pools are open! And we were there with cousins and my sisters, and that has been a rare occurrence enough to make it special. (Don’t be ridiculous and think my boys came! HA!) But I only had a prism, some pipe cleaners, some transparent plastic colored sheets (like light gels), and whatever pool toys I could find to shoot through, so it feels a little monotonous. But I just got going and didn’t stop til the roll was finished and then I called it good. HA! I used Color Plus 200 and my Rebel 2000 and 50mm 1.4 with internal meter for fun and easy pool times.

I was so conscientious about doing a more documentary roll last month, and then just missed the post date, so if you’re interested in last month, which is the graduation process of a senior during COVID, go HERE.
